Review: Kara make-up removal wipes

8 Nov

Hey y’all,

If you read my old blog or saw my Facebook or Twitter, you would have seen a new DP and a cover photo. At the end of the photo clicking for my last blog, I wanted to remove them and was thinking what to use. Then decided this was the best time to do a post on the make-up removal wipes I use when I am lazy because I was too lazy to use a more complicated method.

Read on to know more about them wipes.

Claims: Kara Makeup Removal Wipes is an effective way to remove all makeup from the face. It is enriched with lavender extract and vices a relaxing effect to the skin while the seaweed extract revitalizes and nourishes the skin. More importantly, it’s made from Birla Cellulose, a fibre that is 100% natural and biodegradable.

(1) Slowly peel front label
(2) Pull out a wipe
(3) Reseal front label
(4) Open and unfold wipe
(5) Gently wipe face and neck
(6) Discard wipe after single use.

My experience:

It is a normal wet tissue but has seaweed extract and lavender extract along with some aloe vera gel. It also smells good and feels very refreshing. I have used it on facial make-up like foundations, compact/powders and even on eye makeup and is very effective.

As you can see in my demo here, it does a good job. I first used just 2 fingers on the wipe and ran it along all the lipstick swatches very slowly and firmly. You can see it wiped it clean right away. Although I see a tint in the picture. A few more swipes and the whole thing came off. and you can see I only used half of the wipe.

  • Super easy to use.
  • 100% natural and biodegradable wipe
  • Dermatologically safe
  • Does its job well.
  • Smells very nice and lavendery.
  • Feels refreshing.

  • Doesn’t help with waterproof makeup. But this is a given and not really a con.
  • I honestly don’t see any.

Last word:

When you want to just go to sleep and not be bothered about removing makeup, use this. Its simple and effective. You can use a cleanser after using this just in case you want to be super-careful.

Rating: 5/5 I use it all the times I am very lazy.

Wipes has always been my best friend, find them convenient especially when not in that state of mind to splash water on face .Thanks for the review and it looks like I should be trying this out then

I have used the toning wipes and the sunscreen wipes from Kara. And yes, they all do remove makeup, atleast visibly. The toning wipe with rose-thyme is very good and i use it atleast once a day when i need a quick CTM routine. I dunno if the sunscreen ones are effective for sun-protection. But i did use them on my Goa trip as additional sun-protection along with the regular sunscreens.
